I’m at North Hollywood Diner waiting for nachos ( I hear a round of surprise surprise from those that know me) and what an adventure I’ve been on this past week!
Food wise it really has been a Mexican fiesta with a little eastern asia and America to mix it up a bit.
Today while going to check out the central public library for a while (which, is freaking awesome by the way! They have a globe as a chandelier, how cool is that! It’s also pretty huge, you’ll definitely need a map to find the things you need), Nate and I checked out L.A. Cafe and I had the most delicious veggie burger will ever have until I find an even better one. The patty was grilled to perfection and the bun was seasoned with pepper and garlic, the tomato which tasted like it has just been picked of the Vineland crispy lettuce. It just melted in your mouth and put me in a food coma for the next few hours.
Rather sluggishly, we decided to go further down town to Pasadena where we walked Through city hall, the mayors offices, which was so grand, Cameron would have been jealous! We then looked around a little shopping parade with lots of little street artists where we decided it was time to get me back to North Hollywood so I can rest and ready myself for the trip back across the Atlantic.
I could not have asked for a better introduction to California and I can truly say I will be gracing the streets of sunset boulevard and Fisherman’s Wharf in the not too distant future.
I have had such a great time state side, with Nate and his family and what the cities had to offer, it’s a vacation to remember and will be hitting the memory box and being locked in tight.
Will I wish I had stayed? Time will tell
Over and Out y’all
